# Can I Add a Custom Background Image?

## Use a Custom Background Image

The current workspace supports background colours and transparent exports, but it does not place a custom photo or scene behind the mockup.

1. Open **Download** for the finished mockup.
2. Choose **PNG** and enable **Transparent background**.
3. Download the mockup, then place that PNG over your custom background in an image editor or design app.

## What to Know

Uploading a background as artwork will place it in the design area and is not the same as a true background image.
